Veterinary Urine Test Strips

Most urine test strips used to perform routine veterinary urinalysis at practices and laboratories have been designed for human use. Our veterinary urine test strips utilise the same technology as human urine test strips, but detect values over different ranges more suitable for use in the veterinary field.

Our veterinary urine test strips are carefully chosen for quality and purpose, with a range of strips for various uses.

Urinalysis is an important tool in disease detection, monitoring and screening of animal health. Abnormalities can be indicative of diseases of the urinary system as well as other organ systems, including liver function, acid-base status and carbohydrate metabolism.

Veterinary urine test strips provide a fast, convenient way of testing urine for the presence of multiple parameters. These strips are made of a firm plastic strip with a buffer pad made of special chemicals. When dipped in urine, the buffer pad/pads change colour providing semi-quantitative results when comparing the result to the colour chart.

Test parameters include Bilirubin, Blood, Glucose, Ketones, pH, Specific Gravity, Urobilinogen, Leukocytes, Nitrite, Microalbumin and Creatinine.

Specific Gravity is readable for use on animals with a detecting range of 1.000-1.060
